Frequently Asked Questions Do I need to be an experienced lecturer?No lecturing experience is necessary. We are seeking expressions of interest from applicants with more than five years’ current experience in their industry of expertise. Do I need to have any qualifications to become a lecturer?To be eligible to become a CRT Lecturer you must be able to demonstrate current vocational competency (broad industry knowledge and experience) at least to the level of the training package / qualification you will be delivering. Lecturers are required to hold the TAE40116 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment as a minimum. If you already have the qualification, fantastic! However, we will assist you to obtain your qualification if you don’t have it yet. What areas do lecturers teach in?The opportunities are endless! It could be anything from traditional trades like construction or plumbing to engineering, IT, hairdressing, health, marketing, cookery or teaching English as a second language.
