[What the role is]
Join a team of professionals to support the Hospitality & Tourism Management Department’s courses and programmes! You are able to engage learners across different age groups and backgrounds, and you are savvy in the application of digital marketing tools for outreach and publicity purposes. Hotel operations in the areas of front office and housekeeping and/or MICE?events operations and management are familiar to you; as well as quantitative techniques used to inform decision-making. You have a strong network of hotel/MICE/tourism industry contacts. You have an energetic and dynamic personality, and you are passionate about cultivating a pipeline of talent for the Hospitality & Tourism Industry.
[What you will be working on]
• To design and deliver Diploma level lecturing & tutoring duties for both Pre-Employment Training (PET) and Continuing Education and Training (CET); teaching methods include lectures, tutorials, seminars and E-Learning
• To engage in designing, preparing and developing teaching and learning materials, coordinate & administer the delivery of Hospitality & Tourism Management (HTM) related modules
• Mentor and guide students in their holistic development
• Plan, coordinate and implement events, seminars, immersion trips, alumni and other student activities
Candidate may be required to perform other duties and assume additional responsibilities as may be assigned by the organisation or its management from time to time.
[What we are looking for]
• Relevant qualification in Business Management/Marketing/Hospitality & Tourism Management (HTM)
• At least 3 year(s) of relevant Hospitality & Tourism Management experience in areas of either hotel, MICE and/or tourism attractions planning and/or operations
• Candidate should possess relevant experience in one or more of the following areas:
- Tourism Attraction Operations and Management
- Hotel Operations and Management
- MICE/Events Operations and Management
- Analytics & Decision Sciences
- Hospitality/Tourism Sustainability Management
