Post-Pandemic Wellness Tourism: Segmenting the Recovery Market
Abstract. This study examines post-pandemic wellness tourism: segmenting the recovery market using a mixed-methods design across multiple destination contexts.
1. Introduction
Tourism systems are under increasing pressure to reconcile visitor growth with community wellbeing and environmental limits. This demonstration manuscript outlines the study context, research questions, and contribution.
2. Methods
We combine a structured survey of destination stakeholders with semi-structured interviews, analysed through a two-stage coding protocol. Sampling, instruments, and limitations are described for reproducibility.
3. Findings
Findings indicate that governance capacity, rather than visitor volume alone, explains most variance in resident sentiment. Practical implications for destination managers are discussed.
