Job Summary:
Teacher of Culinary Arts
Pathway program at Abraham Clark High School - grades 9-12
Job Summary:
This position is for the 2026-2027 school year.
Responsibilities/Credential/ Qualifications:
Must hold New Jersey Career and Technical Education Teaching Certificate for Teacher of Culinary Arts #4128 (9-12)
Must be knowledgeable in the most current Adobe Suite version.
Must be well versed in how to plan and price menu items, order supplies, and keep records and accounts.
Must be well versed in how to manage staff in a commercial kitchen which include how to prepare and cook foods of all types, either on a regular basis or for special guests or functions and monitor sanitation practices to ensure that employees follow standards and regulations
Must be able to manage and prepare a budget for the purchasing necessary supplies for the program.
Must be able to prepare and deliver relevant course content using a variety of teaching methods and assessments that support student learning.
Must have an understanding of career paths in restaurant management and culinary arts.
Must be able to navigate various learning platforms such as Schoology.
Salary:
REA Salary Guide Range
BA: Step 1 $61,500.00- MA+30 Step 21 $104,807
