£32,510.78 - Grade 5 Spine Point 26 £42,483.46 (dependent on experience) FTE

Hours - 0.72 FTE available

About the Role

HSDC is seeking a Lecturer/Teacher of Catering to ensure outstanding success and progression through the delivery of inspirational teaching, learning and assessment from Level 1 to Level 3, of both practical and theoretical elements of the qualifications.

This opportunity will suit someone with a passion for both the subject and for student success. The postholder must be self-motivated and innovative, with the ability to inspire our students.

Responsibilities

Planning effectively and delivering high quality teaching, learning, assessment and support, leading to excellent attendance, retention and achievement.

To deliver formal scheduled teaching duties of both theory and practical lessons and student assessment.

To record, share and regularly monitor student progress using College information systems.

To prepare learning plans schemes of work, keep relevant records and undertake all administration relevant to teaching duties.

To attend marketing and promotional events.

Requirments

Level 5 or equivalent Teaching Qualification such as Certificate in Education or PGCE or willingness to work towards this.

High level of specialist knowledge of the subject area

At least 2 years’ experience in teaching the subject area to full-time or part-time students (Desirable).

Degree in relevant subject (Desirable)
