Saratoga Springs, New York, Public History/Preservation - Adjunct Instructor SUNY Empire State University is seeking an adjunct professor in public history/preservation for the fall semester. The successful candidate will teach a fully developed, online course as part of the University's M.A. in Public History. An understanding of theories and methodologies in historic preservation is required, including intersections between heritage preservation and material culture (including art and architecture). The successful candidate will help students probe questions related to museum studies, consumption theories and patterns, the concept of cultural property, and other specialty topics. This is not a classroom position, and it does not require residence in New York State. Job Requirements: Required Qualifications: Master's degree in history (Ph.D. preferred) Special Information: Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.
