Complaints and Appeals

Authors may send complaints or appeals to exec369-phase4-60f40478-20260901-diag-owner@blackhole.postmarkapp.com with a clear evidence-based rationale.

Appeals are reviewed by an editor who was not responsible for the original decision where practical.

Complaints may concern editorial process, conflicts of interest, publication ethics, peer-review handling, corrections, metadata, access, or policy application.

Possible outcomes include clarification, correction, further review, referral to another editor, publication of a notice, or confirmation that no further action is required.

Complaints and appeals are handled confidentially where practical, while allowing the journal to seek information needed for a fair review.
