Republic Polytechnic is seeking experienced industry practitioners to join the Diploma in Events & Project Management (DEPM) as Associate Lecturers.
Associate Lecturers play an important role in bringing current industry practices, emerging trends and real-world insights into the classroom. We welcome professionals with expertise in event management, project management, experience design, event technology, digital transformation and related fields to contribute to the development of future-ready event and project management professionals.
[What you will be working on]
Teaching and Facilitation
• Facilitate learning for Pre-Employment Training (PET) and/or Continuing Education & Training (CET) learners.
• Deliver lessons, workshops and learning activities based on approved lesson plans and curriculum materials.
• Facilitate classroom discussions, project work, case studies and experiential learning activities.
• Assess learners’ performance through grading, feedback and evaluation of assignments, presentations and projects.
• Maintain accurate records of learner attendance, participation and assessment outcomes.
Industry Knowledge Sharing
• Share relevant industry practices, trends, technologies and case studies to enhance learners’ understanding of the profession.
• Provide practical insights and examples drawn from professional experience.
• Support learners in understanding current and emerging developments within the events, project management and experience economy sectors.
Learner Support
• Provide consultation and guidance to learners on assignments, projects and professional development.
• Foster an engaging and inclusive learning environment that encourages participation and collaboration.
• Support learner development through constructive feedback and mentorship.
Academic Support
• Participate in lesson briefings, moderation exercises and curriculum review discussions, where required.
• Provide feedback on curriculum relevance and industry developments to support continuous programme enhancement.
• Support assessment and invigilation duties, where assigned.

[What we are looking for]
Qualifications
• Relevant tertiary qualification in Events Management, Hospitality, Tourism, Business, Marketing, Communications, Project Management or related disciplines.
Industry Experience
• Minimum 5 years of relevant industry experience.
• Current or recent industry practice in a relevant field will be highly advantageous.
Preferred Competencies
• Strong communication and presentation skills.
• Ability to engage and inspire youths and adult learners.
• Passion for sharing industry knowledge and professional experiences.
• Strong interpersonal and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to relate theoretical concepts to real-world applications.
AI and Digital Competencies
Applicants with experience in applying technology and AI within professional settings will be highly regarded. Examples include:

Commitment
Associate Lecturers are typically engaged on a part-time basis and may be required to conduct minimum 2 classes during weekdays, evenings and/or weekends, depending on programme requirements.
