You can register a new domain without leaving Scholardemia and put it to work immediately: as the address of your lab or journal site, or as the domain behind your own email address. Domain purchase is part of Premium membership.
Search and register
Open domain management
Go to Settings → Mail, where your domains are managed alongside your email addresses.
Search for a name
Type the domain you want. The search shows whether it is available and its registration and renewal price, which varies by ending (.org, .science, and so on). Premium-tier names are marked as such.
Add registrant details
Provide a registrant contact: name, email, phone, and postal address. Domain registries require this for every registration; you can reuse the same contact for future domains.
Confirm the purchase
Review the price and confirm. The domain is registered to you, added to your account, and set to renew automatically so it does not lapse by accident.
After registration
The new domain appears in your domain list with its setup status. Scholardemia can configure the DNS records needed for sending email at the domain as part of registration, so an address like you@yourlab.org can follow shortly after; see Email at your own domain.
