Fix Zoom connection problems

3 min readUpdated 9 July 2026Integrations & connected apps

Use this guide when the Zoom integration fails to connect, stops generating links, or behaves unexpectedly after a disconnect or token refresh.

Connection fails during authorisation

  1. Return to Settings → Connected.
  2. Start the Zoom connection again and complete the OAuth prompt in the same browser session.
  3. Make sure you approved the Scholardemia app in Zoom instead of closing the authorisation screen.
  4. If Zoom shows an authorisation error, remove the app in Zoom Marketplace and reconnect it from Scholardemia.
  1. Disconnect Zoom from Scholardemia.
  2. Reconnect Zoom from Settings → Connected.
  3. Retry the flow from the calendar event, event administration screen, or meeting scheduler.
  4. Confirm the event has a valid title, start time, and end time before generating the link.

You removed the app in Zoom first

Removing the app on Zoom’s side before disconnecting it in Scholardemia can leave stale credentials behind. Disconnect Zoom in Scholardemia, then reconnect it so a fresh token set is stored.

An old meeting still appears after disconnecting

That is expected. Disconnecting stops future provisioning but does not delete existing Zoom meetings or remove links already saved in older event records or messages.
