Every lab on Scholardemia gets a complete public website, not a bare profile page. It is created with your workspace, served at your lab’s Scholardemia address from the moment you launch, and moves to a custom domain whenever you connect one.
The pages your site starts with
Your site launches with a full set of default pages and starter text tailored to what you run. A journal site, for example, includes About, Issues, Articles, Submit, Editorial Board, Policies, News, and Events. The starter text is placeholder copy written to be replaced: swap in your own wording page by page, at your own pace, while the site stays live throughout.
Choose a theme
Six looks are available: the Default look plus five themed templates named Broadsheet, Folio, Verdigris, Wire, and Meridian. Each theme restyles the whole site; your content and pages carry over unchanged, so you can switch freely until one feels right.
- Open your workspace and go to Workspace Settings.
- Find the site theme section and pick a theme.
- Visit your public site to see the new look immediately.
Edit pages and content
Site pages are edited from the workspace console, where owners, admins, and editors can rewrite text, rearrange sections, and manage news, events, and media. Changes publish to the live site, so it is worth previewing substantial edits before saving.
