A Scholardemia course is a single ordered sequence of chapters. Students move through them top to bottom, and their progress is tracked per chapter, so the order you choose is the path they will actually take.
What a chapter can hold
- A title and description that tell students what the chapter covers.
- A video, which most students treat as the core of the chapter.
- Attachments such as slides, readings, or exercise files that support the video or stand alone as the lesson material.
Chapters have their own draft state: you can keep a chapter unpublished while you work on it, even in a course that is already live, and publish it when it is ready.
Ordering and pacing
- Keep each chapter focused on one idea. Progress is recorded per chapter, so smaller chapters give students more frequent, visible wins.
- Reorder chapters in the course editor at any time; the sequence students see updates immediately.
- Open with a short orientation chapter that sets expectations, and close with one that summarises and points to what to do next.
Evolving a live course
You can add, edit, and reorder chapters after publishing without disturbing existing enrolments. When you add substantial new material, tell your students about it with an announcement; see Course announcements & updates.
