Complete chapters & track progress

2 min readUpdated 10 July 2026Learning & courses

Courses are made of ordered chapters. Scholardemia records your position in each chapter and rolls that up into an overall completion percentage for the course, so you can stop at any point and pick up exactly where you left off.

How progress is recorded

  • Each chapter tracks its own progress: how far through it you are, and whether it is complete.
  • Chapter progress feeds the course-level percentage you see in your learning space and on the course page.
  • Progress is stored per person, so it follows you across devices as long as you are signed in to the same account.

Completing a chapter

When you finish a chapter, it is marked complete and the next chapter in the sequence becomes your natural starting point.

Finishing the course

Once every chapter is complete, the course itself is recorded as completed on your enrolment. If the instructor has enabled certificates for the course, completion is what makes you eligible; see Course certificates. You can also revisit any chapter after finishing, and your completion is not affected.
