Workspaces are built for teams. The members area shows everyone with access, their workspace role, any journal editorial roles, and invitations that are still pending, all in one register.
Workspace roles
Every member holds one workspace role. From most to least access:
- Owner: full control, including roles, invitations, billing, and workspace settings.
- Admin: day-to-day administration, including managing members and invitations.
- Editor: edits content and works in the editorial console.
- Analyst: works with data and reporting surfaces.
- Member: takes part in the workspace without administrative access.
Journal editorial roles, such as being an editor of a specific journal, are assigned separately from workspace roles, so someone can edit one journal without administering the whole workspace.
Invite people
- Open Workspace → People.
- Go to the invitations area and send an invitation with the role you want.
- The person appears as pending until they accept; you can track and manage pending invitations from the same register.
Manage the team over time
The role matrix under Members shows current assignments and journal editorial staffing at a glance, alongside each member’s status and recent activity. Use it to review access periodically, especially after people change positions or leave your group.
