Create a project & invite your team

3 min readUpdated 10 July 2026Projects, tasks & calendar

A project is a shared workspace for a piece of work: a study, a grant, a course build, or anything else your team coordinates. Each project has its own board, tasks, timeline, and member list.

Create a project

  1. Open Projects and select Create Project

Go to Projects and choose Create Project.

  2. Name and describe it

Enter a project name (required) and an optional description so colleagues know what the project is for.

  3. Choose visibility and a board background

Pick Private (members only) or Workspace visibility, and optionally a background colour or image for the board. You can change both later in the project settings.

A new project starts with a ready-made kanban board, so you can add tasks straight away.

Invite your team

Open the project, go to its Settings tab, and choose Members. You can invite people in two ways:

  • Email invite: send a targeted invitation to a specific address with Send invite. You can resend or revoke it while it is outstanding.
  • Access link: generate a reusable link with Create link and share it with your team. Anyone who opens it joins with the role you chose. You can rotate or revoke the link at any time.

Project roles

  • Viewer: read the board and tasks.
  • Editor: create and update tasks.
  • Admin: manage members, settings, and automations.
  • Owner: everything above, plus ownership of the project itself. The creator is the owner.
Stuck on an invitation that never arrives? Ask the sender to resend it, and check your spam folder. If it still does not appear, contact support@scholardemia.com.

Still stuck? Talk to a person.

Our support team reads every message. Include what you were doing, any error message, and a screenshot if you have one; it usually saves a round-trip.
