The data hub stores tabular datasets you can explore, transform, and chart. Uploading takes a couple of minutes; describing the data well is what makes it useful to your future self and to colleagues.
Supported files
Datasets can be uploaded as CSV, TSV, TXT, XLSX, XLS, or JSON. PDFs are not supported for dataset ingestion, since they cannot be read as a table; export the underlying data instead. For general limits, see File upload limits & supported types.
Uploading step by step
Open the upload page
Go to the dataset upload page in the data hub and choose your file.
Check the data
For Excel files, Scholardemia reads the workbook and lets you pick the sheet to import, with a preview of its columns and rows. For other formats, open the dataset’s profile tab after upload to confirm the detected columns look right; a stray header row is easier to fix in the source file.
Describe the dataset
Give it a clear title and a description that says what was measured, when, and how. Good metadata is what makes a dataset findable and reusable later.
After the upload
Your dataset appears under your datasets in the data hub. From there you can open it in the explorer to filter and reshape it, or start a chart straight away.
