Follow researchers, journals & topics

Following is how you curate Scholardemia: researchers for their posts, journals for their news, and topics for everything tagged with a subject you care about. Each works slightly differently.

Follow researchers

Use the follow button on any profile, or on the Scholars to follow suggestions beside your home feed. The researcher is notified that you followed them, and your follower and following counts appear on your profile header. Following someone also lets them share posts with the Followers visibility with you.

Follow journals

Public journals on Scholardemia carry a follow option on their sites, so you can keep up with a journal’s announcements and new content without following each editor individually. Browse journals from the Publications directory.

Follow topics

Any tag can be followed: select a topic chip on a post or document and choose to follow it. Followed topics build the Topics stream on your home feed, gathering tagged posts, documents, events, courses, datasets, and journal news in one place. The research keywords on your profile follow their topics automatically. A weekly topics digest email is planned but not yet available.

Topic follows are private. Who you follow and who follows you is visible on profiles, but only you can see which topics you follow.
