If something on Scholardemia breaks the rules, report it and the moderation team will review it. Reports can be filed against most content types, including posts, comments, news items, documents, profiles, jobs, events, datasets, and charts.
Report content
Open the menu on the item
On a post, for example, open the menu in the corner of the card and choose Report post. Other content types carry an equivalent report option.
Choose a reason
Pick the reason that fits best: copyright infringement, impersonation, spam, harassment or abuse, misleading or inaccurate, unlawful content, or other.
Add details and submit
A short description of the problem helps the reviewers act quickly, especially for copyright and impersonation reports.
What happens next
Reports go to the moderation team for review. Content that is found to break the rules is hidden from feeds and search across the platform. Reporting is confidential; the author is not told who reported them.
Muting & quieter options
For things that are unwelcome rather than against the rules, you have softer tools:
- Mute a chat conversation to stop its notifications without leaving it.
- Unfollow a researcher or topic to take their content out of your streams.
There is currently no way to mute or block another account across the whole platform; if someone’s behaviour towards you goes beyond what unfollowing solves, report the content involved.
