Creating an account takes a few minutes: you fill in your details, verify your email address, and then a short guided setup helps you build your profile. Scholardemia is free for researchers, and journals on the platform never charge authors.
Sign up
Open the sign-up page
Go to /sign-up. While Scholardemia is in private beta, you need a beta invitation link or code to sign up; there is a field for the code during sign-up.
Enter your details
Provide your name, email address, and a password, along with your academic title, mobile number, professional background, and country, which are all required; only the name suffix is optional. Use the email address you check most often, since it is where verification and security messages go.
Verify your email address
We send a verification link to your inbox, and you cannot sign in until you have clicked it. If nothing arrives, check your spam folder. See Verify your email if you get stuck.
Complete the guided setup
After verification you land on the onboarding tour, which walks you through your profile photo, research interests, and colleagues to follow. Every step can be skipped and revisited later.
Good to know
A username is generated for you from the part of your email address before the @ sign and becomes part of your public profile address. You can also continue with Google or another provider shown on the sign-up page instead of creating a password. ORCID does not provide a verified email address, so create and verify your account first, then connect your ORCID iD from profile settings.
