Email verification proves you control the inbox on your account. Scholardemia requires it before your first sign-in: the address is where password resets and security alerts go, so the platform will not act on an address nobody has confirmed.
How verification works
After you sign up, we send a verification link to the address you entered and show a Check your email screen. Click the link in the message and you are done: you can sign in, and you are taken on to the onboarding tour. Until then, attempting to sign in shows a reminder that your email still needs verifying.
If the email never arrives
- Check your spam or junk folder; automated verification messages sometimes land there.
- Search your inbox for Scholardemia, in case a filter moved the message.
- Confirm you signed up with the address you are checking. A one-character typo sends the message to the wrong inbox.
- Institutional mail servers can delay or quarantine external messages; if you used a university address, give it a few minutes and check any quarantine digest you receive.
Verification after changes
Changing the address on an existing account has its own confirmation step: a six-digit code sent to the new inbox. See Change your email address.
