Your email address is used for sign-in, password recovery, and security alerts, so changing it is deliberately careful: you confirm with your current password and prove you control the new inbox before anything switches over.
Change the address
Open your account settings
Go to Settings → Account and choose Change next to your email address.
Enter the new address and your password
Type the new email address and your current password. The password check ensures a passer-by at an unlocked screen cannot redirect your account.
Confirm with the code
We send a six-digit verification code to the new inbox. Enter it in the dialog to complete the change. From then on you sign in with the new address.
Good to know
If the code never arrives, check the new inbox’s spam folder and confirm you typed the address correctly before requesting another. Your username, profile, documents, and everything else on the account are untouched by an email change.
