A call for papers invites submissions to a themed collection or special issue. On Scholardemia, each call belongs to one of the journal’s collections and gets its own page on the journal site, so authors can read the brief and submit in the same place.
Publishing a call (for editors)
- Create or choose a collection for the special issue or theme.
- Write the call-for-papers page with the page builder: scope, expected article types, and any deadlines. The journal decides all of this; Scholardemia imposes no deadlines or formats.
- Work in draft until the text is ready, then publish. The call appears in the journal’s special issues section, and can also feature on the home page through an Open calls for papers block if the theme includes one.
Submitting to a call (for authors)
You submit through the journal’s normal submission flow, linked from the call page; mention the call in your submission so the editors know it is intended for the collection, and they attach accepted articles to it when publishing. The submission steps are the same as any other; see Submit an article to a journal.
Scholardemia journals do not charge article processing charges (APCs). A call for papers does not change that APC policy. See our no-APC policy.
