Issues collect accepted articles for publication. Your journal decides its own rhythm: regular volumes and numbers, occasional collections, or anything in between. Scholardemia never dictates a publication schedule.
Create and fill an issue
Create the issue
From the journal’s issue management tools, create an issue with its numbering and title. It stays unpublished while you assemble it.
Assign accepted articles
As articles finish production, assign them to the issue. An article’s production steps are covered in Editorial workflow for editors.
Sign off and publish
A sign-off step lets the team confirm the issue’s contents before it goes live. Once published, the issue appears on the journal site as the current issue, and earlier issues remain in the archive.
The public issue pages
Every journal site has an issues section with the current issue and the full archive, including any back-issues brought across from a previous system; see Import back-issues from OJS. Issue and article listings can also feature on the journal’s home page through its theme blocks.
