Your affiliation tells colleagues, editors, and reviewers where you work, and it appears prominently in your profile header. Scholardemia keeps this simple: you write your institution in your own words rather than picking from a fixed list.
Set your affiliation
Open the profile editor
Go to Settings → Profile and select Edit in the Edit Profile section.
Fill in institution and department
Enter your university or organisation in the Institution field and, if useful, your lab, department, or team in Department or lab. Use the name your institution itself uses, since this text is shown verbatim and used in search.
Record past affiliations
Add earlier posts and degrees as career and education entries in the Professional History section, each with its own organisation and dates.
Keeping attribution consistent
Because the affiliation on your profile is free text, spelling it consistently with your publications and your ORCID record is what keeps your work attributed correctly across systems. If you move institutions, update the field and add the previous role to your career timeline so the history stays visible.
Institution pages on Scholardemia
Institutions themselves appear on the platform in two places. Organisations recruiting through Careers have public pages in the hiring institutionsdirectory, reserved for verified institutions. And global search’s Academic web source has an Institutions scope for exploring institutional records from the wider scholarly index; see Search everything.
